The COP (coefficient of performance) of a heat pump expresses the relationship between the quantity of heat produced and the energy required to produce it. While most products generate noise levels between 70-90 decibels, the Nirvana pool heat pump produces less than 60 decibels. The components used in the manufacture of our heat pumps are chosen for their capacity to perform well under northern weather extremes. As an example, a recent test conducted on our pool heaters demonstrated that the defrosting cycle was triggered at temperatures below 3 degrees C (35° F).
